Maranatha High School supporters took to the fairways at La Cañada Flintridge Country Club on Monday, Oct. 29, to enjoy a day of golf while raising money for the school’s athletic program.
The tournament began with lunch and an exciting round of golf that featured contests and prizes on several holes. The event continued into the evening as golfers enjoyed dinner and winners in the silent auction were announced. The hottest auction item of the night was a pair of front-row tickets to watch the Dodgers play next season and a large gift basket filled with Dodgers memorabilia.
The Boosters Golf Tournament raises significant funds for Maranatha’s athletic program; with the help of the boosters, athletic department and members of their community, the money raised during the tournament will help Maranatha sports programs continue to thrive and build a bigger community to support Minutemen athletes.
Maranatha offers special thanks to tournament coordinator Tom Skidmore, athletic director Sammy Skinner and all who helped sponsor the tournament and donate auction items.
