The La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation Korean Outreach Dinner event was held recently at the home of Ben and Rebekah Park. La Cañada Flintridge Unified School District Superintendent Wendy Sinnette spoke on changes in the district. With a goal of providing an environment that encourages students to be high performing but also healthy and resilient, this year’s new Wellness Center on the La Cañada High School campus is very popular. All schools are currently being fenced to provide safe and secure campuses. Soo Kim Choi, the former foundation president, also spoke about how having these mixers has been an encouragement to the Korean community to increase involvement in participation and leadership at the foundation level. It was announced that the 2020 gala will take place on March 21 in downtown Los Angeles.
