Boys & Girls Club Pasadena Helps Hurricane-Hit Communities

The Board of Directors of Pasadena’s Boys & Girls Club collected $1,075 for a donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County in Naples, Florida. Local members pictured are Carl Siechert (from left), Katie Yundt, Doug Turley, Maura Sullivan, Chris Wood, Board Chairman John Clayton, Rita Diaz, Tom Link and Rick Warmack.

Members of the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena were motivated to act this past week, following the devastation caused by the hurricanes that hit the United States in August and September.
As news stories showed the rising flood waters and wind-damaged communities, the teenagers from the two Teen Centers in Pasadena arranged to mail care packages to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston and the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County in Florida. As soon as shipping operations resume to normal, they also will send a care package to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Puerto Rico.
