This year marks the Junior League of Pasadena’s 95th year serving the San Gabriel Valley community.
The JLP is celebrating this momentous accomplishment throughout 2021 by having its members complete 950 hours of training and community engagement, recognizing 95 women who have contributed to the success of the JLP, highlighting member’s 95 favorite recipes from its six cookbooks and hosting social celebrations with its membership and the community all year long. The Junior League of Pasadena has announced that Charlotte Miles has been named president of the 92-year-old women’s volunteer organization, which has more than 500 active and sustaining members in the San Gabriel Valley.
Members of the JLP are looking forward to her leadership as they continue the support and development of women. Members volunteer hundreds of hours each year.
Miles is beginning her seventh year of membership with the Association of Junior Leagues International, spending the first three years at the Junior League of Champaign-Urbana. She has served on the JLP board of directors as operations director and, most recently, as president-elect. She has lived most of her life in Illinois, but has enjoyed her move to the Golden State. The Junior League of Pasadena invites the public to attend its fifth annual Simply Speaking Benefit on Saturday, April 28, at 6 p.m. at the La Cañada Flintridge Country Club. All guests will enjoy a cocktail hour with a silent auction, a live performance by Dani W., various raffles, a three-course dinner and dancing hosted by DJ Daisy O’Dell. The Junior League of Pasadena will hold its annual Simply Speaking silent auction and dinner on Saturday, April 29, at the La Cañada Flintridge Country Club. Proceeds from the event will support the Junior League of Pasadena’s community outreach initiatives and charitable efforts in Pasadena and the surrounding communities.
