Rebels Win 1st CIF Title; Advance in State Playoffs

The Flintridge Prep varsity girls’ soccer team defeated Pacifica of Garden Grove, 3-1, in a CIF Southern Section Division 3A last Saturday to win the program’s first championship. The winning squad, guided by head coach Esteban Chavez, includes Katie Bennett (front row, from left), Madison Bradford, Ella Treinen, Kate Huntley, Caitlin Fong, Lindsay Uteda, Julia Gonzalez, Mona Cesario, Mikaela Celeste, Helen Schaefer and Makenna Dominguez. Back: Rachel McCarley, Molly Scott, Hope Codiga, Marissa David, Jenna Mijares, Libby Penn, Arielle Guzman, Katya Besch, Yasmeen White, Gabi Bennett, Dima Bazzi, Sophia Corbisiero, Natalie Brown, Mel Ng and Sabine Fregoso.

La Cañada Closing In On League Championship
