Lutheran Church Hosts Community ‘Trunk or Treat’

A Halloween tradition, “Trunk or Treat,” returns to Lutheran Church in the Foothills this Sunday, Oct. 30.
The “Trunk or Treat” festivities will be held in the church’s parking lot beginning at 11:30 a.m. The annual community event is a safe, daytime opportunity for kids to wear their Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat among decorated car trunks. There will be games, plenty of treats and hot dogs on the grill. For those attending the 10 a.m. worship service with Pastor Chuck Bunnell beforehand, costumes are welcome.
LCIF would like to remind families that Children’s Church is available every Sunday. Families should meet in the sanctuary at 10 a.m. After a special blessing and message for the children, the kids head off to the Youth Room for games and study. They will return in time for Holy Communion.
Pastor Bunnell would also like to remind the community that he is available to consult with anyone interested in baptism, confirmation or membership. He is also available for visitation. Anyone with a loved one wanting a pastoral visit at their home or in the hospital should contact the church.
