Local Students Join ‘March for Our Lives’

La Cañada High School students (from left) Bella Gardina, Isabelle Fisher, Abigail Lidar, Julia Quinn, Noah Jongeling, Lorenzo Lizardi and Kelsey Warda joined others from La Cañada Flintridge on Saturday at the “March for Our Lives” rally in downtown Los Angeles, which drew an estimated 55,000 protesters, according to L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti. A busload of people from LCF attended the march, which was one of many nationwide. The event was part of a worldwide day of action against gun violence organized by student activists in response to the Feb. 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, that killed 17 people.

LCHS 7/8 Principal, Students Engage in Honest Dialogue

Principal Jarrett Gold told LCHS 7/8 students, “This is you guys being part of the conversation and having a voice,” and they responded by sharing thoughts on a range of topics, including vaping, bullying and school safety.
