Grateful Grove Gala Is Oct. 16

Monte Vista Grove Homes presents its Grateful Grove Gala: Community in all Seasons on Saturday, Oct. 16, as a tribute to the resilience, generosity and inspiration demonstrated by its many and diverse community supporters. The event, which will be held at the La Cañada Flintridge Country Club, begins with a reception at 5 p.m. followed by the program and dinner at 6 p.m.
The Gala Spirit Award honorees are the Berns Team (award-winning real estate professionals), Rev. Chuck Osburn of La Cañada Presbyterian Church, Citizens Business Bank and CitizensTrust; and special honoree is the Pasadena Health Department. “Each has contributed uniquely to the health and well-being of MVGH residents,” an event spokesperson said.

LCF Couple Honored by Monte Vista Grove Homes

Longtime La Cañada Flintridge residents Bob and Marian Hiller recently received the Spirit Award at Monte Vista Grove Homes’ annual Founders Gala for their dedication and service to the senior care community.
Founded in 1924, MVGH offers independent living to retired ministers who served the Presbyterian Church for 20 years or more. MVGH, located in Pasadena, also provides assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care to the greater public.

Groundbreaking for MVGH Memory Care Center

Monte Vista Grove Homes recently celebrated the groundbreaking of a Memory Care Residence and Wellness Center, which will serve as an added benefit for the San Gabriel Valley community. The Memory Care Residence will provide a much needed specialized level of care that best serves ambulatory seniors with dementia. The Wellness Center will provide a dedicated space for fitness activities as well as physical, occupational and massage therapies.
