Cancer Support Community Pasadena’s Virtual Gala committee members are preparing for the organization’s “A Night in Emerald City” 30th anniversary gala on Saturday, July 11.

In less than three weeks is Cancer Support Community Pasadena’s first virtual gala, with excitement building among supporters, staff and volunteers, according to the organization. This year, CSCP is celebrating 30 years of providing support, education and hope to families facing cancer in the Greater San Gabriel Valley. “A Night in Emerald City” 30th anniversary gala will be on Saturday, July 11.

E-Waste, Documents Shredded June 16

Residents can safely dispose of electronic waste and have personal and business documents shredded at the city’s popular free e-waste event from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, June 16. The event will be held in Parking Lot I outside the Rose Bowl Stadium near Brookside Park, 360 N. Arroyo Blvd.
Shredding trucks and e-waste collection sites will be arranged at different stations in Parking Lot I. Look for signs for the event. Motorists and bicyclists are advised to use caution while traveling through the area.

More than 150 wines will be poured, complemented with culinary delights: cheese and meats from local purveyor Howie’s Market and Alexander’s Prime Meats.

Top Marching Bands to Perform at Rose Bowl July 1

Drum Corps International will put on a special performance, featuring some of the world’s premier drum and bugle corps, on Saturday evening, July 1.

Pacific Crest Youth Arts Organization is hosting Drum Corps International at Rose Bowl Stadium on Saturday, July 1, with the Pasadena Tournament of Roses and Lone Star Percussion serving as presenting sponsors.
The event will feature more than 1,400 youth in performance with 12 drum and bugle corps, including seven of the nation’s top performing groups.
The event is part of the Drum Corps International Tour, a summer season of 100 events across the United States. The Drum Corps tour will return to the iconic Rose Bowl Stadium, bringing a dynamic lineup of world and open class corps, and marking the biggest event of its kind in California. Pacific Crest is one of North America’s most renowned performing arts programs for youth. Its core program is a drum and bugle corps, one of the nation’s foremost ensembles of its kind.
