LCHS Ceramics Students Display Art at Library

La Cañada High School and LCHS 7/8 ceramics students will display some of their works of art this month in the lobby of the La Cañada Flintridge public library. The show opens Saturday and will run through the end of March.
The artists — beginning to advanced ceramics students — include Atziri Fernandez Orozco, Lauren Ford, Caleb Frederich, Ava Gabriel, Isabelle Grandalski, Colin Ha, Savannah Knutson, Grace Lee, Naiara Munich, Ella Romero, Melina Tsotras and Natalie Waterman.
The teachers involved are Mike Kauffman, Andy DiConti and Serafina Kenwood.

LCHS Art Teacher Wins People’s Choice Award at Fashion Show

The next time Serafina Kenwood wants to encourage her students to push their boundaries, she’s got a good example — herself.
Last week, Kenwood, an art teacher at La Cañada High School, won the People’s Choice award at the Metropolitan Fashion Show for her design inspired by the Red Queen in “Alice Through the Looking Glass.” The show was staged Thursday at the Original Farmers Market in Los Angeles, where many of Kenwood’s La Cañada Flintridge friends were in attendance. LCHS Art Teacher’s Design in Running at L.A. Fashion Show

La Cañada High School art teacher Serafina Kenwood has been selected to participate in this year’s Metropolitan Fashion Week on Thursday, Sept. 28, in Los Angeles.
The free public event, including a runway show and costume competition, will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Original Farmers Market at 6333 W. 3rd St., Los Angeles.
