Halstrom Academy Pasadena Campus is Growing

Halstrom Academy thinks outside the box when it comes to educating students in grades 6-12. The school’s 1-1 student-teacher ratio approach is the core principal behind its academic success, and an impressive college admissions record backs that up. Halstrom offers a bully-free environment where customized learning and a content mastery philosophy allow for each student to progress at his or her own pace. When not in class, students have opportunities to socialize together through activities. Every day, Halstrom Academy provides an alternative for parents whose children may not be living up to their full potential in a traditional, one-size-fits-all school.
Halstrom students come from varying backgrounds. Some struggle with academia, learning challenges or social anxiety; while others are athletes and actors who find the flexible scheduling options beneficial; and some are wanting accelerated learning that they are not finding in traditional classrooms. The common factor between each of them is that they all value the opportunity to learn at their capacity and pace.
Halstrom Academy has a year-round, open enrollment policy meaning students can enroll and start at any time. The school offers a strong curriculum with more than 140 courses, 22 of them honors classes and 20 of them advanced placement. Halstrom is WASC accredited, UC, CSU and NCAA approved.
