Club 21 Walks For Down Syndrome Awareness

Club 21 Learning and Resource Center will host its 10th annual Together is Better Walk on Saturday, Oct. 21, at Central Park in Pasadena. The walk and family festival raises funds and awareness for Club 21’s programs and services that support children with Down syndrome, and their families and educators.
The walk begins at 10 a.m., followed by a family festival, with music, entertainment, food and games. Last year, nearly 2,500 participants raised more than $216,000.
“Society is enriched by the inclusion of individuals with Down syndrome,” explained Nancy Litteken, executive director of Club 21. “Every day, individuals with Down syndrome make invaluable contributions to our greater community, benefiting from loving homes, inclusive education, positive public attitudes and a supportive community environment. Join us for the Together is Better Walk where you can meet and walk alongside our families and educators who believe in our mission of helping children with Down syndrome reach their full potential and enjoy productive lives.”
