The Foundation for Living Beauty was proud to host Dinner Under the Stars recently to raise funds to support women with cancer. The event was held at the Beverly Hills home of founder Amie Satchu and featured cuisine from Katsuya Restaurant, along with a rare appearance by master sushi chef Katsuya Uechi.
The brand sponsor for the event was What Goes Around Comes Around, a vintage couture company that set up a pop-up store in the library, allowing guests to shop for vintage handbags and jewelry, also benefiting Living Beauty.
The event raised nearly $200,000 to support the work of Living Beauty, which provides wellness retreats and events to support more than 650 women with cancer.
The Foundation for Living Beauty, a Pasadena-based nonprofit organization, serves to educate, uplift and empower women along their cancer journey. The organization, founded in 2005, provides more than 30 program events per year, including day retreats, overnight retreats, educational offerings and sisterhood events where women with cancer can connect with one another and find ways to augment their physical treatment and address their many needs. Events help Living Beauties understand the factors that can play a role in a cancer diagnosis and provide significant opportunities to support their healing.
