Clairbourn School carnival co-chairs Miriam Cruz and Connie Kim recently celebrated a successful Peter Pan Carnival following Clairbourn’s Spring Program. The hot weather made the Dunk Tank and Super-Soaker Maze extremely attractive to kids of all ages who just wanted to cool off. There was also a monster-sized inflatable Kraken Slide that swallowed up all who dared to enter, a Euro Bungee ride, which helped students to fly like Peter Pan, and lots of carnival booths and field games where students could win prizes.
Parents stayed in the shade and enjoyed food treats from Porta Via Italian Foods, Skewers, Paradise Fine Cookies and Confection L.A’s famous beignets. There was even a book-signing event starring Clairbourn’s former staff member coach Paciorek. The hottest attraction was a special photo booth set up for memory pictures with retiring Headmaster Robert Nafie. Lots of alums, former staff members, and former parents and friends of the school returned to wish Nafie well in retirement.
