Hosted by Lowe and Studenmund — mother of Army Green Beret SSG, Scott R. Studenmund — the event took place at the memorial in Defenders Park. Attendees included Enduring Heroes Gold Star families, Pasadena Police Chief Phillip Sanchez, Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek, former Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard, 2018 Tournament of Roses President Lance Tibbet and a number of military officials. The event included a special performance from the Louisburg High School Marching Wildcat Band who marched in the Rose Parade.
