Five Acres Announces New Chief Administrative Officer

Five Acres, a foster/adoption, residential and community-based mental/behavioral health nonprofit organization, announced Kim Warneke as its chief administrative officer.
Having joined as Five Acres’ director of training and organizational development in January 2019, Warneke was promoted to lead the human resources and training functions responsible for HR operations, including employee relations, talent acquisition, organizational design, leadership development, training compliance and culture development.
“On March 13, she stepped in as interim chief administration officer and even while faced with the challenges of the pandemic, her leadership, responsiveness and her commitment to keep our Five Acres teams safe and operational is marked,” said Five Acres CEO Chanel Boutakidis.
Warneke came to Five Acres with more than 16 years of experience in HR and talent development, where she had led multiple teams that changed the function, culture and impact of HR within their organizations. With a passion for growing an organization’s effectiveness and long-term success, Warneke’s main focus is on its key resource: its people.
“Our world had turned upside down and as an agency we have adapted and transitioned to new ways of operating, providing services and working in general,” Warneke said. “Our staff is adapting to these changes, and in addition many are finding themselves trying to navigate the personal challenges related to school closures, concerns for family members’ health and the general anxiety related to the COVID-19 pandemic. My priority at this time is to ensure that staff and leadership throughout the agency receive the tools, resources, support and guidance they need to navigate the changes and challenges they are facing at this time.”
Warneke received her bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of California, Irvine and holds the SHRM-SCP human resources certification.
