The stars were out at Five Acres’ “A Red Carpet Affair” gala, an event to celebrate and support the 129-year-old agency’s mission to empower vulnerable children and families in our communities.
The gala took place at the Molina Estate in South Pasadena where 300 guests enjoyed a glamorous red carpet entrance, gourmet cuisine by AKA Bistro, an auction and raffle prizes, and a dance performance straight out of “La La Land.”
During dinner, Five Acres premiered a short film spotlighting its 2017 “5 Jamma Slamma” children’s poetry workshop spearheaded by actor Matthew Lillard.
Actor/writer/producer Mike O’Malley emceed the affair with Chris Selak of Lionsgate Entertainment and Sandy Walia of Wells Fargo returning as gala chairs. A surprise call match from a generous donor concluded the evening on a high note. For more information, visit 5acres.org.
