Five Acres will host its annual gala on Saturday, June 3, at the private Molina Estate in South Pasadena. Guests of the “Red Carpet Affair” will enjoy celebrity treatment, including a three-course meal with wine, a silent and live auction with special prizes, wine and jewelry raffles, live entertainment, dancing and more, all while raising funds to support Five Acres programs.
Multiple auction items will be available to gala bidders, including a “Nashville” show package for two with airfare, accommodations and a “Nashville” set visit; a private catering extravaganza for 50; and a private dinner and organic margarita tasting for 10 with local chef Robert Simon. Luxury travel packages include a one-week Parisian stay on the Champs-Élysées; a weeklong stay at a private beach condominium in Cabo San Lucas at Casa del Mar; a Catalina Island adventure for six; and a scenic sailing excursion around the San Francisco Bay with a gourmet lunch and regional wines.
Patrons will also have the opportunity to enter two exclusive raffle drawings at the event. With the purchase of a glass of champagne from the live champagne dress, guests will be entered to win a stunning 18-karat rose gold Pomellato Nudo blue topaz ring donated by Place Vendome. Guests may also “pick a card, any card” and be entered to win an instant wine collection valued at more than $1,500.
Five Acres board member Chris Selak leads the Five Acres gala committee alongside co-chair Sandy Walia, the duo’s second year chairing the event. New leadership roles are auction chair, held by Tami Gittleman, and opportunity chair, held by Natalie Bazarevitsch, both of whom are returning committee members. Additional committee members include Stacy Armillei, Jennifer Berger, Naomi Farley, Sheila Grether-Marion, Michele Hall, Kelley Bannon Lashley, Heather Lillard, Celeste Liversidge, Amanda Ma, Sue McGuirl, Matt McIntyre, Tawnia McKiernan, Tim McKiernan, Mariela King, Mimi Melgaard, Kris Ordaz, Nicole Rasic, Nicole Rodger, Emily Street, Erica Tejeda and Christina Trauber.
