Flintridge Preparatory School honored its 8th-grade students rising into high school as well as 7th- and 8th-grade award recipients in a recent evening ceremony in the school’s Norris Auditorium. Special student honors included academic, athletic, service and citizenship awards. Two speakers thanked the community and gave advice to the rising freshmen.
“Embrace all Prep has to offer,” Board Vice-Chairman David Codiga encouraged in his opening remarks, “and take care of each other.” Eighth-grade president and class speaker Veronica Habashy thanked her fellow students for a wonderful middle school career, especially noting the group’s welcoming spirit, sense of community and kindness.
