Kidspace Holds May Events

Kidspace Free Family Night through May, will feature art programming specially designed by teaching students from Cal State L.A. Folk/Country artists, the Earthworm Ensemble, will perform at 6 p.m. Admission to Kidspace is free only during these hours.
Grand Butterfly Celebration, Saturday and Sunday, May 5-6, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.: Butterfly Season will end with a celebration weekend. Join Kidspace in learning about butterflies and participate in ways we can support their life cycle. Mold a butterfly puddler out of clay, paint butterfly scenes and be sure to stop at Imagination Workshop to design and assemble your butterfly stick kite to wave at the 2 p.m. show with a live DJ.
Pop-Up Program: Mud City, Saturday and Sunday, May 12 and 13, 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.: It’s muddy May. Celebrate the occasion and help to construct a mud metropolis using clay, dirt and other natural materials. Your urban planning skills are needed to build this squishy city.
Performance on the Frog: The Brennans, Sunday, May 20, 1 p.m.: Enjoy the foot-tapping fun of bluegrass music with The Brennans, a family band consisting of Bridget Brennan and her daughters, on guitar, fiddle and bass.
Wild Art Weekend, Saturday-Monday, May 26-28, Memorial Day weekend: Explore the natural world through art. Create a masterpiece, discover the forest of clay faces and paint with colorful spices. Don’t miss a performance by Rhythm Child at 1 p.m. Bring creativity and outdoor play together with Kidspace.
Early Learner Programs: Music, Motion & Math, Saturdays, May 26-July 14, 9-10:30 a.m.: Music, Motion & Math will engage your child in an early mathematical world through songs, literature and fun hands-on activities. For children ages 3 to 4 years old. Fee is $150 per child. Register online at kidspacemuseum.org.
