Kidspace Museum’s Activities for June

Free Family Night, Tuesday, June 5, 4-8 p.m.: See how art can support the environment and learn what you can create while being green. Make art out of items that might have been otherwise thrown away, create posters to communicate ways we can take action to care for the earth, and learn about plants that help California save water. Admission to Kidspace is free only during these hours.
Early Learner Programs: Music, Motion & Math En Español, Sundays, June 3-July 15, 9-10:30 a.m.: Music, Motion & Math will engage your child in an early mathematical world through songs, literature, and fun hands-on activities. Music, Motion & Math En Español, is a great way to prepare your little one for preschool and kindergarten, as well as introduce them to the Spanish language. Both Spanish speakers and second-language learners welcome. For children ages 3 to 4 years old. The fee is $150 per child. Register online at kidspacemuseum.org.
STEAMing through Summer Kick-Off, Saturday, June 9, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.: School might be out for the summer, but Kidspace will keep steaming. STEAMing through Summer, is an eight-week series that celebrates learning through literacy and hands-on experiences. Join Kidspace for the kick-off event starting on June 9 where you will learn about the first annual Kidspace Book Club and the great outdoors with nature-driven activities that feature campfire tales, pitching a tent, survival skills and wildlife education.
STEAMing through Summer, June 9-Aug. 4, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.: STEAMing through Summer is an eight-week series that creates learning opportunities in a fun and interactive way. Weekly programming will explore science, technology, engineering, art and math. In addition to STEAM programming, there will also be an emphasis on imagination, nature and green initiatives. Each week will conclude with a Kidspace Book Club where participants can creatively talk about the books they have read. The series will culminate with a Back to School Bash on Aug. 4, as children move full-STEAM ahead into the next school year.
Pop-Up Program: Kidspace Book Club, Saturday and Sunday, June 9-Aug. 5, 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.: Join Kidspace this summer for its first annual Kidspace Book Club. Each week, explore a new topic together by reading a book. After reading your book, pick a fun way to share what you discovered with Kidspace. You might write or sing a song, create a poem, make a piece of art — whatever makes sense to share your book. Bring your book share to the Kidspace Book Clubhouse each weekend, where you can show it to the Kidspace team and earn a button unique to that week’s theme.

In this preview, you’ll get just a taste of how much fun Kidspace has exploring the world in Kidspace’s Baby and Me classes. For children ages 12 to 36 months. Fee is $30 per child. Kidspace Summer Camps, Saturday, June 11-Aug. 3: Kidspace has an exciting seven-week lineup of camp programs to transport your child into a world of exploration and adventure, creating lasting friendships and memories. For ages 5 to 9, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., $450 a week. Aftercare is available for an additional $75 for the week. For ages 4 to 5, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., $225 a week. Book online at kidspacemuseum.org.
