The annual La Cañada Spring Home Tour, a community event for 34 years, will be postponed until the event can be held in-person in 2022.
“For 2020, we were able to pivot and move the event virtual as the pandemic hit just two months before our May 1st date,” said Christine Chant, event co-chair. “Our committee and newfound volunteers with video expertise were instrumental in making this virtual event possible in such a short timeframe. We were also beyond grateful to our event sponsors — both families and businesses — that maintained their level of support despite the move to a virtual format.”
The 2020 virtual event ran for the entire month of May and was very well-received. The Home Tour is the largest annual fundraiser for the La Cañada High School 7/8 PTA and 9-12 PTSA organizations, which rely on the event income annually to fund many programs and materials to benefit all LCHS students.
“Christine and I are excited and hopeful for the 2022 Home Tour,” said Holly Breckheimer, event co-chair. “And, we know the community will certainly be ready to participate again in original style with tours of four unique homes, an all-day marketplace, and the evening celebratory reception. The 35th annual Spring Home Tour is one no one will want to miss!”
