The 20th Crystal Ball hosted by La Salle College Preparatory celebrated Hollywood in style on Saturday at Noor in Pasadena. The event was chaired by Cheryl Allen along with co-chairs Carol Kirland and Suzy Rettig.
Guests, many dressed as vintage Hollywood actors over the decades, enjoyed an evening of dining and dancing proceeded by silent and live auctions, which set an all-time record. Funds raised were for a new fitness center and renovation of the girls’ locker room.
More than 300 guests came to enjoy the Crystal Ball and to congratulate the 2019 Lasallian Volunteer of the Year: Leigh Olivar. As a member of La Salle’s Board of Regents, Leigh’s volunteerism includes close to 10 years of service to the school. Mostly recently, as chair of the marketing committee of the regents, Leigh was a driving force in the brand refresh of La Salle College Preparatory.
The Crystal Ball is La Salle’s largest fundraiser of the year and supports the academic, arts, athletics and financial aid programs.
