Mayfield Junior School held its annual Mothers’ Christmas Luncheon last week. As is tradition, 2nd-graders welcomed the mothers with a live Nativity tableau and the 7th-graders assisted with the lunch service. Christmas gifts were collected for the women and children at Good Shepherd Shelter in Los Angeles through the MJS School Families Adopt-a-Family program. The gifts were blessed at the start of the luncheon. The 8th-graders enjoyed the special privilege of attending the luncheon with their mothers. Lunch was followed by a festive choral and instrumental concert full of holiday cheer by students in grades 1-8.
