The women of National Charity League Juniors of San Marino held their last general meeting of the year at the home of Jacki Chuang, where the Provisional Class members were installed as active members. This year’s donation of $103,000 to Huntington Memorial Hospital was announced at the meeting. It will be used for a variety of projects including helping purchase a Dornier Diode Surgical Laser (fetal surgery), two Transcutaneous Digital Monitoring systems, toys for pediatrics, scholarships to two high school students pursuing degrees in the medical field and the Helen Hancock nursing scholarship. Funds will also help continue the operation of Parent Connection and the Advanced Training of the NICU and PICU nurses. A check was to be presented to Steve Ralph, president and CEO of Huntington Hospital, at the NCL Juniors Check Presentation Dinner that took place on Tuesday, May 23.
