Seena Wolin, age 89, passed away peacefully on April 30. Born in New York City on March 2, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Ida Switzer. Seena was a long-time resident of La Cañada Flintridge and Glendale. She taught in the Glendale Public School District for many years and, after retiring, volunteered for the Glendale Police Department and Verdugo Hills Hospital. She was a member of Temple Sinai in Glendale and of Descanso Gardens, where she enjoyed spending time. She had a youthful spirit, a great sense of humor and will be missed by many friends of all ages.
She is survived by her brother Ron Switzer and his wife, Anne, of Rye Brook, New York; daughter Amy Paxson of Boston: daughter Leslie Levy and her husband, Rob, of Pasadena; son Dore Wolin and his partner, Jean, of Laguna Beach; and her grandchildren Claire, Jay, Audrey, Ellie, Joe and Oceana.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Seena’s memory may be made to Descanso Gardens. The family will hold a private funeral in New York.
