The 44th annual Pasadena Mayor’s Interfaith Prayer Breakfast recently held at the Pasadena Convention Center benefitted Friends In Deed, which helps serve the homeless and at-risk population in greater Pasadena.
The breakfast’s keynote speaker was John Kobara, who serves as executive director and chief operating officer of the California Community Foundation. His talk was titled “Comforting the Afflicted and Afflicting the Comfortable.” The program featured Elliot Middle School’s Jazz Band, several local clergy and an opportunity to connect with community members for a morning of unity, prayer and positive energy.
