Polytechnic School’s Panther Club will host its annual Friday Night Lights events on Friday, May 4.
The 24th annual golf tournament, which will be played at Alhambra Golf Course, features a scramble format that is welcoming for players of all levels. Lunch is at 11:30 a.m.; shotgun start is at 12:30 p.m.
The annual tennis event features a ladies round robin, mixed doubles and a cardio clinic at Caltech, as well as lunch at the Athenaeum.
A 3-on-3 basketball tournament for Poly students will be held in the afternoon.
The day culminates in an all-school parent party on Babcock Field, which includes cocktails, barbecue dinner and silent auction.
All proceeds from the day’s events are invested back into school athletic and spirit program enhancements and facilities upgrades for student-athletes of all grade levels. Some of the programs funded by the Panther Club include: all Middle and Upper School end-of-season celebrations and banquets, all Poly team wear for high school athletes, facilities enhancements (PA systems, scoreboards, shade structures), operations of the Panther Store, support for the Student-Athlete Leadership Council, free Poly spirit T-shirts for every student and teacher and the refurbished field pavilion that is used by students and teams in all divisions.
Information and registration available at polytechnic.org/fridaynightlights. Questions may be directed to Meghan Stimmler at meghanstimmler@gmail.com.
