Polytechnic Unveils Panther Patio

9 -1

Earlier this week, Polytechnic Head of School John Bracker and members of the middle school, along with athletic director Steve Beerman, middle school director Pat Gray and members of the Panther Club, unveiled the new Panther Patio. Funded by Poly’s Panther Club, this renovated multi-use space provides covered seating so that guests may watch events on both Babcock Field and the softball diamond.
It will also be used for class activities and events. As the area was being constructed, middle school advisor groups suggested names for the space. After narrowing the selection to a few favorites, middle school students took a vote: The space has officially been named the Panther Patio.
Some programs funded by the Panther Club include: all middle and upper school end-of-season celebrations and banquets, 100% of all Poly teamwear for all high school athletes, facilities enhancements (PA systems, scoreboards, shade structures), the Panther Store, support for the Student Athletic Leadership Council, free Poly spirit T-shirts for every student and teacher, and the newly refurbished field pavilions that will be used for students, teams and classrooms for all grade levels.
