The Flintridge Prep varsity boys’ golf team looks to capitalize on newfound momentum after a 3-0 start with victories over Temple City and Los Angeles Milken.
The Rebels rallied behind senior captains Ben Sacks and Preston Ho with their consistent play. In the team’s home opener at Altadena Golf Course, Sacks finished with a score of 36 for even par and Ho recorded a 43. Freshman Marcus Chen carded a 43 and showed his strength with a 280-yard long drive.
Prep took advantage of its depth against Milken with freshman Aaron Freedman carding a 41 and junior Jack Crawford shooting a 43. Each golfer recorded at least one birdie.
The Rebels are determined to improve upon last year’s third-place finish in the Prep League. They will hit the road take on their toughest league opponent, Palos Verdes Chadwick, on Wednesday, March 13.
