Saint Therese Carmelite School will honor Irene Grimm, parishioner and mother of 17, at its annual fundraiser on Friday, Feb. 9, at Almansor Court.
Grimm epitomizes the theme of the auction: “The Little Way to a Big Difference,” said Father Philip. “From her own work in the home, without fanfare, raising her family with diligence and love, and attention to the little things, she has had a big impact on our community.”
Grimm’s children and grandchildren have been active throughout the area, especially in music and promoting a return to classical education.
In 2015, Saint Therese became the only Los Angeles Archdiocesan parochial school to offer a classical curriculum. The change has had a tremendous effect on test scores and family satisfaction.
