San Marino ‘Arts Rock!’ Showcases April 1

The San Marino Unified School District will host its annual “Arts Rock!” celebration, a festival to showcase the K-12 arts programs, on April 1, from 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. at the high school.
Festival participants are invited to sing, dance, act, draw,and play at various activities, including: Tie dye, tutu-making, comedy sports, storytelling, karaoke, face-painting, henna tattoos, jewelry-making, an instrument petting zoo, mural painting, ceramics and a painting workshop.
The community can wander through the K-12 art exhibit and watch the talented student showcases by dance, drama, instrumental music and choral music, which happen on the outdoor stage. Three food trucks and desserts at the Musical Theater Soda Shop will be available. Student-made arts and crafts at the craft store will be available for purchase.
Beginning at 3:15 p.m., SMUSD choir, dance, drama and instrumental music will close the event with performances in the Neher Auditorium. All are welcome to attend.
