The Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts opened the doors of this year’s Showcase House recently for a special sneak peek before the transformation begins. The Pasadena Showcase House of Design is one of the oldest, largest and most successful house and garden tours in the country. Now in its 53rd year, about 30,000 guests are expected this spring. The 2017 Showcase House is an English Tudor designed by the architectural firm of Marston & Van Pelt. It was constructed in 1916 at a cost of $25,000 for lawyer-turned-actor Samuel Hinds and his wife. The tour will run from April 23 to May 21. More information is at pasadenashowcase.org.
