Museum Lauds Six ‘Contemporary History Makers’

Pasadena Museum of History celebrated 2019 contemporary history makers Helen Baatz and her late husband, John; Mireya and Larry Jones; and Jack and Lacreta Scott during a gala evening at the California Club in Los Angeles on Saturday. The six individuals were honored for their shared commitment to our community in the areas of civic service and dedication to supporting the arts, music and education, as well as their involvement in the field of medicine. The black-tie gathering of 170 guests enjoyed a cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by fine dining and the awards program. Bill and Carol Thomson chaired the benefit, which raised $114,000 to benefit the museum’s educational programs.
