Celebrating the new school year and honoring all fall sports, La Cañada High School students and supporters gathered at the annual tailgate picnic at the LCHS baseball fields last Friday. The party was co-sponsored by the 9-12 PTSA, the 7-8 PTA and the Spartan Boosters, and students from the PTSA, Athletic Leadership Council and Associated Student Body helped with games and face painting. A DJ and the LCHS 9-12 and 7/8 bands contributed to a lively event before the Spartans’ varsity football team took the field and notched a victory over Viewpoint School. Fall sports also include cross country, girls’ golf, boys’ water polo, girls’ tennis, girls’ volleyball, pep squad and football.
