Former Paradise Canyon Elementary School parent and now author Heather Artura drew a crowd at Family Reading Night, including some alumni. Everyone was excited to hear her read “Mystery in Sentence City.”
The story was about the students in Mrs. Oxford’s class, who were learning how to write sentences and realized they did not make sense. Mrs. Oxford called in Officer Wiseman and his canine helper Henry. To help solve the sentence-writing mystery, he took the class on a trip to Grammar City. Everyone could relate to the sentence writing mystery and were thrilled when Officer Wiseman actually appeared at the event. Afterward, everyone enjoyed a snack of cookie characters from the book.
