Titans Edge South Pasadena, Retain Crowley Cup

The San Marino High School varsity football team defeated Rio Hondo League rival South Pasadena, 10-7, last Friday and retained the Crowley Cup. The Titans extended their winning streak over the Tigers to nine games. San Marino is now 1-1 in league play and will host La Cañada in a league contest this Friday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m.

San Marino High School varsity football coach Justen Mesa said his team was going to have to play in “playoff” mode in order to win out the remaining Rio Hondo League games on the schedule, and the Titans heeded his call as they executed on both sides of the football to defeat host rival South Pasadena, 10-7, last Friday.
