The Great Chocolate Race, which will take place on Sunday, May 6, at Memorial Park in La Cañada Flintridge, is just weeks away. The 2.5k/5k walk/run begins at 9 a.m.

The Great Chocolate Race Returns May 6

The Great Chocolate Race returns to Memorial Park at 9 a.m. Sunday, May 6. Hosted by the Flintridge Guild of Children’s Hospital, all proceeds from the race benefit Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Mayor Michael Davitt officially will start the race. The 2.5k or 5k walk or run is open to all racers and pets and strollers are welcome.
There will be T-shirts for pre-registered racers, finish medals for all participants, official chip timing for the 5k, chocolate treats at the pit stops, breakfast and a kids’ zone in the park after the race.
The cost is $30 for adults and $15 for children between ages 5 and 18.

New Board of Flintridge Guild of Children’s Hospital Welcomed

The 2018-19 Executive Board includes Vice President of Benefits Melinda Gillman; Vice President of Membership Kim Kessler; corresponding secretary Patti Kriste; President Debbie Post; recording secretary Delia Cotter; and treasurer Randy Stanislawski.

Members of the Flintridge Guild of Children’s Hospital remain committed to raising money for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Recently the Guild held its annual installation luncheon at a local club where the new 2018-19 Executive Board was announced. The Guild also welcomed Nancy Hong as a provisional member.
