Footage from a La Cañada Flintridge resident’s Ring security system resulted in the recent arrests of two people suspected of attempting to burglarize the man’s house in February.
According to Detective Rodger Burt of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station, a juvenile approached the residence, located on Alcorn Drive, and knocked on the door. After the juvenile determined no one was in the home, two other suspects jumped over the fence to the backyard, but ran off after the homeowner used an app to shout at them through the Ring system there. Authorities are looking for two suspects who they said pulled a pizza delivery driver out of a car in La Cañada Flintridge and stole his money and other belongings.
The strong-arm robbery took place about 9:20 p.m. Friday in the 1100 block of Descanso Drive, said Sgt. Alan Chu, a detective at the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station. A married couple were robbed of a wallet, cellphone and keys at gunpoint on Saturday afternoon in La Cañada Flintridge, and authorities believe the two suspects also committed similar crimes the same day in Burbank and Highland Park. Continue reading “Couple Robbed at Gunpoint in LCF”
