Pasadena Symphony Moonlight Sonata Gala Sept. 22

Join the Pasadena Symphony Association for an evening of enchantment and romance on Saturday, Sept. 22, as it hosts the annual Moonlight Sonata Gala.
This year’s soiree will light up Centennial Square, set against the rotunda of Pasadena City Hall. The evening’s festivities will kick off with libations around the Baroque fountain in the cloistered courtyard, followed by dinner under a moonlit sky at the steps of City Hall, and will conclude with dancing into the night under the stars. The program offers an awards ceremony honoring two prominent community figures, a live and silent auction, and live music performances by distinguished musicians.

City Hall Invites All to Veterans Day Commemoration Nov. 11

All current and former members of the U.S. military, their families, first responders and community are invited to join other local veterans, city officials and community leaders for a special, free Veterans Day ceremony on the steps of City Hall, 100 N. Garfield Ave., beginning at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, and concluding with a special military fly-over in formation at 11:11 a.m.
Street closures around City Hall will be in effect.

Maranatha Students Inspired by City Hall Walk

Maranatha High School students took a walk of faith last week to Pasadena City Hall, the start of what might become an annual tradition.
Amid the chirping of morning birds and freshly dewed streets on the morning of Thursday, Oct. 19, about 350 students, freshmen to seniors, divvied up into small groups with school staff chaperones and took separate walking tours from the school’s campus to Garfield Avenue.
