Steve Dancsecs, 78, of La Cañada Flintridge passed away at his home on Feb. 19. Steve was born on Jan. 6, 1941, in Csorotnek, Hungary, but left his family at the age of 15 during the Hungarian Revolution to escape Communism. He and some friends walked through the forest to reach Austria, landing at an Austrian refugee camp until immigrating to the U.S. via Kansas City, Missouri, in 1956. From there, he came to California, where he resided for the past 60 years.
After graduating from Glendale College, Steve became a general contractor and founded D&N Construction, where he worked until the day he passed. Steve met his beloved wife, Anke, and was married in 1967. Continue reading “Obituary: Steve Dancsecs”
