Titans Defeat Fillmore to Snap 4-Game Losing Streak

The San Marino High School varsity girls’ basketball team concluded the Pasadena Polytechnic Tournament with a 40-36 victory over Fillmore on Saturday.
The win also ended a four-game losing strike for the Titans, who improved to 2-8 on the season.
The Titans began the week falling to host San Gabriel, 45-19, in a nonleague contest on Tuesday, Dec. 4. They traveled to Pasadena and opened the Poly Tournament falling to Holy Martyrs Armenian, 45-23. SMHS head coach Annie Yee’s squad followed that with another defeat against Adelanto, 57-34.
San Marino hosted Bassett High of La Puente in a nonleague game on Tuesday, Dec. 11, and will play another nonleague contest on Monday, Dec. 17, at 5 p.m. The Titans will host Baldwin Park before taking 10 days off.
The Titans will return to action on Thursday, Dec. 27, to compete in the Tri-City Holiday Classic in San Diego.
