The Langham Huntington launched its Uncorked events — lovely afternoon wine tastings hosted by a winery partner of the month — at the hotel’s beautiful Horseshoe Garden. Held each Saturday afternoon from June to October, these unique events enable attendees to learn about the featured varietals from the experts while savoring a glass, flight or bottle, along with specially paired bites from the Langham’s culinary team. (Pricing starts at $12 for a glass of wine and $15 for a wine flight.) Children are welcome with adult supervision. Lawn games and other family-friendly activities will be available.
The featured winery partners this summer include Rodney Strong (June), Coppola Winery (July), Gerard Bertrand (August), Ferrari-Carano Vineyards & Winery (September) and Charles Krug (October). The Uncorked events are from 2-6 p.m. each Saturday.
There are also special wine dinners being offered at the Langham’s new Wentworth Garden. It is an opportunity to dine al fresco under the stars. “Guests can sit back and relax as they are led through a seasonal dinner utilizing fresh herbs and vegetables from the hotel’s garden that are paired with wines to complement each dish, with commentary by the winemaker or sommelier,” a spokesperson said.
The monthly dinners will be held on Wednesday, June 26 (featuring Rodney Strong wines), and on Thursday, July 18, featuring the Coppola Winery.
