Lake Avenue Church will sponsor a Veterans Salute and Tribute Show on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 17-19, in the church’s Family Life Center, room 300.
The show will feature USO-style performances honoring military veterans will feature a variety of acts spanning three decades, from Bob Hope, Ella Fitzgerald, the Andrew Sisters, swing dancers, and excerpts from 1940s radio shows. The show will culminate on Sunday, Nov. 19, with a gourmet luncheon and show to honor veterans.
Showtimes are Friday, 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, 2:30 and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. A veterans’ luncheon follows at 2:30 p.m. with a special veterans’ show.
