Villa Esperanza Services recently held its Blue and White Fundraiser at the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena. The theme was “The Spirit of Ohana,” the Hawaiian word for “family” which is often used to describe friends and community as well. Nearly 200 guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dinner and an auction during an evening which raised $200,000 for the organization. The evening honored Whittier Trust for its many years of supporting Villa Esperanza through generous philanthropy, leadership expertise and volunteer service. Proceeds from the fundraiser support the diverse services Villa Esperanza provides for adults and children with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
