Winners of Face Covering Poster Contest Honored

The city recently announced the three winners of its Face Covering Poster Contest and made available the winning illustrations for others to download and use.
Representing the kindergarten-5th-graders was Camila Jimenez, who depicted a message of saving the world by wearing a mask — by drawing the globe wearing its own mask. Olivia Hur won in the 6th-8th-graders category, with her illustration of a woman wearing her mask and giving a thumbs-up. Rachel Park took top honors among 9th-12th-graders for her image of a woman wearing her mask, with a thought-bubble indicating she had her elders’ health in mind.
The victors each received a $50 Visa gift card. In addition to making the posters available for public use, it also plans to use the images in its own social media postings and on physical posters throughout the city.
