The Mayfield Junior school community recently kicked off Book Fair 2016: “The Wonderful World of Reading at Family Night.” In its fifth year, Family Night offers book shopping, free gift-wrapping by MJS Girl Scouts, special musical performances plus pizza and fun snacks. Families also participated in a Book Fair Outreach by purchasing books to help build the first library at St. Frances X. Cabrini School. Each year, Book Fair at Mayfield Junior School is a weeklong celebration of reading, with author visits for both stu-dents and parents, Read-a-Book and book mark contests, raffles and more. This year’s Book Fair was co-chaired by Stacy Sartor and Julie Soma.
