A private Pasadena soirée benefiting music education programs in Los Angeles County schools featured special guests, including Emmy-award winning actress Jane Lynch, actress Kate Flannery and the Tony Guerrero Trio. The exclusive sixth annual “Keep the Music Playing” event, hosted by Education Through Music-Los Angeles and co-chaired by board members Louis Gutierrez and Jeff Scofield, welcomed approximately 75 guests to drinks, hors d’oeuvres, speeches and a private cabaret-style concert. ETM-LA partners with inner-city schools to provide music as a core subject for all children, and utilizes music education as a catalyst to improve academic achievement, motivation for school and self-confidence.
