The Rowe and Gayle Giesen Trust held a fundraiser recently at the Pasadena home of board member Dr. Drew Pinsky and his wife, Susan. The Giesen Trust gives grants to local organizations to bring art into the lives of Pasadena youth, and has played a major role in the arts in Pasadena for nearly 50 years. Local grantees in attendance included representatives from the Armory Center for the Arts, Art Center for Design, Pasadena Educational Foundation, Side Street Projects and Wisdom Arts Laboratory. Guests were a mix of Pasadena residents and former Pasadenans from around the country. The event raised more than $20,000 and the Giesen Trust plans to expand the event annually in Pasadena.
