The Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation, a nonprofit that supports the preservation, protection and enhancement of the Rose Bowl Stadium as a National Historic Landmark, recently hosted its third annual Joint Leadership Meeting at the stadium.
The annual meeting, which includes all board of directors and advisory board members, featured Tournament of Roses President and Advisory Board member Gerald Freeny as the guest speaker.
One of the key highlights of the meeting included Legacy Foundation Board President Mickey Segal presenting a multimillion-dollar donation check to Rose Bowl Operating Co. CEO Darryl Dunn.
The Foundation recorded approximately $10.34 million in new pledges and gifts in the 2017 calendar year, which was the first year of a campaign to raise $40 million in new donations before the stadium’s centennial birthday in 2022. Guests experienced a beautiful view of the field as they enjoyed cocktails and dinner before the meeting.
